Bugatti Veyron Super Sport reached, last
year, a speed of 434 km/h on the market. The versions that will enter
production will be equipped with a W16 engine and 1200 horse power, 199
more HP than the basic version. Also, the fuel consumption is 10%
smaller than a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport.
2. Koenigsegg Agera – 1.5 million dollars
Agera means ” to do” in Swedish and it
is also short from the Greek word “ageratos” that means “eternal,
immortal, without age”. The body is made out of carbon fiber and
aluminum, with the shape and concept of a CC Koenigsegg created 15 years
ago. The car has a V8 910 horse power engine that can reach 100 km /h
in less than 3 seconds. It’s wheels generates a movement that absorbs
the hot breaks air and less than 20 units are built each year.
3. Maybach Landaulet – 1.4 million dollars
The maximum speed this Maybach model can
reach is 447 km/h and it comes with an AMG V12 5.0 liters twin turbo
604 horse power engine. The car is equipped with smart head lights,
bi-xenon, parking guide, refrigerator, sliding tables and much more.
4. Pagani Zonda C9 – 1.3 million dollars
The news is that the C9 will have a
Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 6.0 liters engine with 700 horse power and 1,000
Nm torque. Regarding the shape, the car is very much new with a chassis
built out of carbon-titanium and Pirelli tires especially created for
this concept. Only 40 units will be made next year. Note: The car in the
photo below is a Zonda, but another model. The official photos of the
C9 2011 were not published yet.
5. Hennessey Venomo GT – 895,000 dollars
Venom GT has a body made out of carbon
fiber based on the design of the Lotus Elise and a V8 1,200 horse power
engine. The maximum speed is of 445 km/h and can go from 0 to 100 in
only 2,5 seconds. John Hennessey said for Forbes that his Texas team
will only build 10 models next year, and 7 of them were already sold.
6. SSC Ultimate Aero – 750,000 dollars
The most recent Aero model has a maximum
speed of 440 km/h and a V8 1287 horse power. It is equipped with air
conditioning, electrical mirrors and windows, a premium audio system
with 10 speakers, CD / DVD, 7.5 inch screen and automatic navigation
system. The back spoilers are made out of carbon fiber and respond to
the pressure made by the breaks. On the interior, the dashboard is made
out carbon fiver and has a central console incorporated with a digital
control unit.
7. LeBlanc Mirabeau – 728,000 dollars
The Mirabeau engine is designed to
fulfill all the FIA/ Le mans standards of driving. The model has a V8
engine, 700 horse power and 850 Nm torque. The body and chassis are made
out of carbon fiber with a 6 steps transmission and a maximum speed of
370 km/h. The automatic gear box costs 52,000 euros extra, and the
leather on the interior is optional too.
8. Ferrari SA Aperta – 520,000 dollars
This is the convertible version of the
Ferrari 599 ( aperta means “Open” in Italian ) who debuted in Paris this
Autumn. The car has a V12 670 horse power engine and can go from 0 to
100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. All the 80 models that were announced were sold
already.
9. Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe – 447,000 dollars
The engine is a V12 with direct
injection and a maximum power of 453 horse power and 720 Nm. The maximum
speed of this vehicle is 240 km/h and can reach 100 km/h in 5,6
seconds. Drophead has two doors and for seats.
10. Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce – 455,500 dollars!
SuperVeloce has a 6,5 liters engine,
V12, 670 horse power and can reach 100 km/h in less than 3,2 seconds.
The maximum speed of this car is 340 km/h. This car is substantially
lighter than other Murcielagos cars: the engine is 5,4 kg’s lighter and
in total the weight is 100 kg’s smaller, which makes it much faster. On
he inside, the upholstery is made out of back leather and the seats out
of carbon fiber.
